10 years later and the only one in my rural area that's being broadcast on is 162.400, but it's covering a current storm and you laid out all the freqs so I could write those down as well. Thank you so much

Why do i have to hold down my monitor button to hear a channel
I live 30 miles from Albany NY and I can't hear anything on 162.550, in fact, I can't hear anything on any of them, I only hear static on all of them when I turn the squelch down from 1 to 0(off). I can't even hear the police department that's 3 miles down the road.. what am I doing wrong? Brand new to ham and have yet to hear anything but static. Google is no help

Dont blame me. I voted for Ron Paul. Side note. I think the uv-5r has quick key for the noaa frequencies. I'll check and modify this post if I can recall the steps.

Actually you're missing a frequency. 162.475 is the one you don't mention. There are 7.

why can't you get these online ? As a kid I would listen to KGG 68 Houston. Now can't get it online.

NOAA WEATHER RADIO outside US, Canada, Mexico and Bermuda, Taxi radios in Europe.
well yeah but some people are interested in ham radios so this is a good guide in my opinion even though i only have one ham radio :-D
Hey Griff I have A&B pre-programmed for multiple channels send and receive I accidentally pushed a button that no longer connects A&B when I would push the arrow button up and down I would get A&B to move together from the separate channels please help me to return it to that state

162.550 WORKS
It surprises me a country like the UK don't have any weather radio station apart their centralized metoffice.
Endo Gamy Receives only Taxi frequencies (162.55 MHz).
Bermuda (UK territory) also have Weather radio brosdcast on 162.55 MHz and 162.4 MHz for Marine. Weather Radio Bermuda.

What do you do if your in the GBT TSW area and want to listen to upto date weather please.
This seems like a way to listen on National Calling Freqs (VHF & UHF and nothing else) nonstop. Yes? I'd like to do that. Just keep this radio for that purpose without another one. Silly? (TY for the video)
